Website design using breadcrumbs
October 14, 2010
There are many times when you need to know where you are in relation to the rest of the web site. Breadcrumbs provide a great way of not only letting you know where you are but also navigating backwards to your point of origin.
Most web site designers use a horizontal list of labels that list the web site page names showing your exact location. Web site designers make the list or labels clickable. When you click on the breadcrumb you are then taken to the web page. So each breadcrumb is a hyperlink. Breadcrumbs are usually placed at the top of the web page where they are easily accessed. Each breadcrumb is separated by a greater-than sign (>). We like web site designs using web pages with clickable hyperlink breadcrumbs.
