Make Your Computer Run Faster!     Tune Up Your PC For Free!

June 14, 2011

Run Like A Bugatti Veyron
Tune Up Your PC For Free! How to make your computer run faster; tips to increase computer speed and performance all for free. Here is how:

Have you ever noticed when you first get your computer it runs at maximum speed. Start up is fast and programs respond immediately. Then over time slowly but surely your computer gets slower and slower. It takes longer to start up and longer for things to get done. Seems like you are waiting forever!

What is happening?

What happens is that every software manufacture wants their program or service to run fast and be very responsive. So in most cases every time you install a new program it sets a parameter to load at startup so it will be ready. Over time your computer can have many programs loading up at start up. This can cause huge delays in start up. This is especially bad for those programs or services your rarely use. Why even waste time loading them? You have to sit around waiting on your computer when you could be doing something productive. A smart alternative is to uninstall those programs. This gives you complete control over what gets loaded at start-up.

Optimize Windows 7 for Better Performance
No matter how fast or shiny computers might be when they're new, they all seem to get slower over time. That state-of-the-art PC you bought last year might not feel like such a screamer after you install a dozen programs, load it with antispyware and antivirus tools, and download untold amounts of junk from the Internet. The slowdown might happen so gradually that you hardly notice it, until one day you're trying to open a program or file and wonder, "What happened to my poor PC?"

What else is going on?

Every time you install a new program, visit a web site, save a document or a picture your computer stores information internally. There are many times your computer is storing data and your may not even be aware that it is doing it. This information gets written to your computer’s internal hard drive. Your computer stores the information so it’s available when you need it later.

Over a period of time your computer’s storage gets fragmented. When this happens your computer becomes sluggish and responds slower than normal. Over a period of time your computer can get slower and slower because it taking longer and longer to find the information. What is needed is defragmentation of the computer’s hard drive. What this does is to store the information in one place so next time your computer tries to find it the information it is in one place as opposed to being in several places. It make since if you only have to go to one location to get what you need it’s going to be faster than having to stop at three or more places. This speeds up opening and coping files and allows programs to run more smoothly. Lastly this speeds up start up and shut down.

Improve Computer Performance by Defragmenting
Fragmentation makes your hard disk do extra work that can slow down your computer. Disk Defragmenter rearranges fragmented data so your hard disk can work more efficiently. Disk Defragmenter runs on a schedule, but you can also defragment your hard disk manually.
